My Story

I am from the small town of Fostoria, Ohio. The oldest of 9 and outside of a couple years span of my 26 years, I’ve lived a really good life.

I’ve played basketball since first grade. I graduated from and played at Owen’s Community College for two years. In my first year there we went to the national championship and got runner-up with only six players.

I’ve coached AAU for six years, going on seven. I’ve also coached middle school for 2 years, JV for 2 years, and now in my second year of being a varsity assistant.

My love for the game is what got me started in this coaching world, but my passion comes from a new place now. After almost being killed and facing all of the mental health battles that came afterward, I still love the game of course, but more importantly, I love everything that the game can teach about life. I use my platform to teach youth important life lessons through the sport so that they don’t have to learn those lessons through real life hardship.

The relationship I’ve built with God has helped guide me on my path with not only these youth that I mentor, but everyone

that I come into contact with. My goal everyday is to live a life that God would be proud of.

I want to be a walking testament of how you can come from rock bottom and still achieve more than you could have ever imagined. Life is all about your perspective.

I hope my story can give you hope for the future. Remember, we are all going to fall down, just don’t STAY there no matter how long you were down for. You got this!

Love,

Lili
